Time -- 10-11:30 a.m. Hosts -- John Livingston and Jennifer Browning Topic -- Scaggsville Garden Walk, First Annual 2022 What to bring -- Yourself and or a friend, imaginary ones are accepted What to wear -- We aren't nudists, we're gardeners, clothing is not optional Where to park -- Street parking is available or I can valet you for $100 What will we do -- Check out our garden, meet new friends, swap secrets (the garden variety), Begin initial planning process, assign responsibilities How many people will be there -- At least two of us, unless someone else has a kick arse garden party with a band and an open mike Why are we doing this -- When we lived in Chicago we were part of garden club in our community and we miss the annual garden walks, the monthly talks on what is working and what isn't, the free plants we all traded with one another. And most importantly, there was an Annual Garden Walk that our neighbors and visitors to the community enjoyed and we want to replicate that for our community. Why should you come -- If you love gardens, people and planning, this is your trifecta of fun. Why are we having it at your house AGAIN? Because I will be a gimp this month after the surgery and I ain't no where near as strong as that feller Bruce. What should I bring: Sympathy pies, Arroz con Pollo, Chicken Tikka Masala, all the stuff that I love to eat, remember I will be a gimp and your food comforts me. Seriously, the only thing you need to bring is your volunteerism, bright ideas and love for the gardens.
